February 2024: Over USD $600,000 raised in support for the partner monasteries and nunneries. We are delighted to announce that Gompa’s online services have now raised over USD $600,000 in sponsorships, offerings, and donations in support of the partner monasteries and nunneries throughout India and Nepal.
Gompa’s support of the partner monasteries and nunneries is playing an ever-increasing role in providing for the daily needs of many hundreds of monks and nuns and is also supporting education and social welfare, both in the partner monasteries and nunneries and the local communities which they serve. On behalf of all the partner monasteries and nunneries, we send our huge appreciation and sincere thanks to everyone who has made these sponsorships, offerings, and donations to the partner monasteries and nunneries in India and Nepal possible.

June 2023: The server and homepage for the Gompa site have been upgraded. We are pleased to announce that the switch-over to a new server with a new homepage has been completed successfully. The enhanced dedicated server will give improved response times and the homepage has been redesigned to give a clearer presentation of each of Gompa’s services.
We welcome your feedback. In particular, if you see an error, it may be necessary to clear your cache. Also, we recommend that you delete any old bookmarks and create new ones, if desired.

February 2023: Five new partners join Gompa. We are pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha and Special Events services in India from Sed Gyued monastery, Siliguri, West Bengal, and Drikung Dharma Foundation (Animal Sanctuary), Ladakh, and in Nepal from Bodong Porong Pelmo Choeding monastery and Keydong Thukche Choling Nunnery in Kathmandu, and Shree Gaden Dhargay-Ling monastery, Pokhara.
An extensive range of Prayers and Pujas can be sponsored at forty-six partner monasteries and nunneries in India and Nepal, with the option to view photos and videos of the requested services. Gompa member-supporters can also send offerings, together with personal wishes and dedications, to any of the seventy-three partner monasteries and nunneries, using the free donation transfer service, at any time, or on auspicious days each month when special pujas, including Tara pujas, Medicine Buddha pujas and Protector pujas, are performed.

August 2022: We are pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha and Special Events services from Lamayuru Monastery, Ladakh, India, and in Nepal from Gaden Jamling Serkong Monastery and Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Palri monastery in Kathmandu, from Seteng Yungdrung Shugtsal monastery in Dolpo, and from New Tashi Rabten Ling monastery and Old Tashi Rabten Ling monastery in Lumbini.

May 2022: We are pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha and Special Events services from Tabo monastery, Spiti, India, and in Nepal from Lumbini Thrangu Vajra Vidya Association, Lumbini, Lekshey Choeling Nunnery, Mustang, Dolpo Central Monastery, Dolpo, and Jamchen Lhakhang monastery, Kathmandu.

July 2021: We are delighted to announce the opening of Gompa’s extensive library of over 120 teachings and courses by more than fifty esteemed rinpoches and senior lineage holders of all traditions. To preview the contents of the library, please select here. Access to the library is being offered as a free additional benefit* to Gompa member-supporters (*see Terms and Conditions). To access the library, select ‘View extensive library of teachings by eminent lamas and senior teachers’ on the homepage. The first time you access a teaching there will be a step to activate your library access, which will remain active for the duration of your member-support period. Monks and nuns at the partner monasteries and nunneries are cordially invited to activate access to the library using the free member login of your partner monastery or nunnery.

May 2021: We are honored to announce that His Holiness the Dalai Lama has given authorization for his teachings (current, upcoming and those in the archive) to be webcast on Gompa. We are very much looking forward to bringing you further webcasts of His Holiness’s teachings in the future. The Gompa webcast platform has been built specifically as an advertising-free environment for the webcasting of Dharma teachings and other Dharma activities and events. Gompa’s member-supporters enable us to keep the Gompa site free of advertising. The privacy of your personal data is fully respected on Gompa – we do not market or sell your personal data.

March 2021: We are pleased to announce the launch of the Prayers and Pujas booking service, in addition to the Offerings to Sangha services, from Bajrayogini Meditation Centre and Nunnery, Kathmandu, and Nubri Hinang Thrangu Tashi Choling, Gorkha, in Nepal.

March 2020: We are pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha and Special Events services from Thiksey in Ladakh, Sera Mey in Bylakuppe, Sakya College for Nuns in Manduwala, and from Nechok Lapchi Kagyu Milarepa Association in Lapchi, Nepal.

January 2020: An invitation to Tibetan Centres worldwide. We are pleased to announce that Gompa is opening its much praised webcast platform to teaching centres and cultural organisations worldwide. The Gompa webcast platform has been specifically designed as an appropriate environment for the webcasting of teachings and related dharma events by senior lamas and teachers. There are no fees to teaching centres and cultural organisations for webcasting on Gompa; and all those viewing webcasts on Gompa have the option to make voluntary donations to the host teaching centre or cultural organisation. July 2019: We are pleased to announce the launch of the Prayers and Pujas booking service, in addition to the Offerings to Sangha services, from Gyudmed monastery in Hunsur and from the Ladakh Nuns Association in Leh. And we are pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha services from Phyang Tashi Chozong in Leh (with the Prayers and Pujas booking service to launch soon). We are also pleased to announce the launch of the Offerings to Sangha services from Jampa Choling Nunnery in Kinnaur, Yangchen Choling Nunnery in Spiti, and Sanghamitra Institute and Nunnery in Bodhgaya.

April 2019: New social welfare projects. We are pleased to announce the medical Clinic project at Gaden Shartse is accepting donations. Also accepting donations are two projects at Drepung Gomang: a Choera construction project; and a project to commission and install Holy Idols and Statues for Debate Hall Altar. Gompa member-supporters can make donations and dedications for these projects, or for general support at any of the partner monasteries and nunneries, by using the 'Offerings to Sangha' service. Offering donations can be made by credit or debit card, and there are no transfer fees. To view these social welfare projects, select 'Offerings to Sangha' on the homepage and then, following the on-screen links, select the partner monastery (either Gaden Shartse or Drepung Gomang) and then the option 'Make a donation for a social welfare project'.
