Registration is now open for a Saturday morning teaching at the International Buddhist Academy, in Kathmandu, Nepal, by the Venerable Kunsang Choephel titled 'Meditation on Vajrasattva' on October 21st, 2017. The teaching will be given in English. Registration will be available until November 6th.

The webcast:
The Venerable Kunsang Choephel will teach in the morning of October 21st on the benefits of meditating on Vajrasattva. In the context of the preliminary practices, in preparation for entering the Vajrayana (tantric) path, meditation on Vajrasattva and recitation of Vajrasattva’s hundred-syllable mantra is said to be a powerful, requisite method for purifying one’s mind of the resonances of previous negative karma and accelerating one’s preparedness for fulfilling the aims of the Vajrayana path, that is, for developing all-encompassing compassion and realisation of the ultimate nature of mind for the benefit of others.

The event:
Shartse Khensur Jangchup Choeden teaching in English on the Wheel of Sharp Weapons, one of the most esteemed and celebrated texts in Tibetan Buddhist literature. Beautifully written in verse, the text sets out powerful ways of transforming our perspective as we encounter adverse circumstances in our lives – through which we can gain the skill to turn the arising of adverse conditions into opportunities for spiritual growth.

Shartse Khensur Jangchup Choeden, former abbot of Gaden Shartse Monastic University and now Director of the Geluk International Foundation is widely respected for his exceptional clarity and good humour in explaining the Buddhist teachings.

Each one and a half hour teaching, on four consecutive Saturdays, will be recorded live and be available to view by the end of each day (India time). The webcast sessions will then remain available for you to view at any time of your choosing until November 13th.
