H.H. the 42nd Sakya Trizin, Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, teaching in English each morning from 9.30 to 11.00 on Clarifying the Sages Intent. This renowned text by Sakya Pandita, one of the founders of the Sakya tradition, is a complete presentation of the theory and practice of the Mahayana (Great Vehicle), covering the topics of Buddha-nature, refuge, bodhicitta (the altruistic aspiration to achieve full enlightenment for the benefit of others), the six paramitas (perfections), the stages of the path, and the qualities of the resultant state of buddhahood.

Each day of the teaching is recorded live and available to view by the end of the day (Nepal time). The Gompa Services registration fee for the webcast is £25.00. At the time you register you will also have the option to make a voluntary donation in support of the International Buddhist Academy.

3. Enthronement Ceremony and Long-Life Puja for the 104th Gaden Tripa, H.E. Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche, at Geluk International Foundation.
Registration is still open for the webcast of the enthronement ceremony and long-life puja for H.E. Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche as the 104th Gaden Tripa on August 4th and 5th, 2017.

History:
The tradition of the Gaden Tripas (the throne holders of the Geluk tradition) began with the great master Tsongkhapa (1357-1419). Before passing away, Tsongkhapa passed the leadership of the newly established Geluk tradition to Gyaltsab Je (1364-1432), who then passed it on to Khedrub Je (1385-1438). Since then the precious legacy established by Tsongkhapa has continued up to today. H.E. Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche was appointed by H.H. the Dalai Lama as the 104th Gaden Tripa on June 24th, 2017.

The event webcast:
August 4th: Reception Ceremony for the 104th Gaden Tripa at Gaden Tri-Thok-Khang (Geluk International Foundation).
August 5th: Reception of the Gaden Tripa in the main hall by the abbots and senior monks of the Geluk monasteries followed by rituals and prayers, including the offering of white traditional scarves by the Gaden Tripa to the Throne (Shukdre), followed by the Long-Life Puja (Tenshug) for the newly enthroned Gaden Tripa.

This is a free webcast but registration is needed to view the webcast. At the time you register you will also have the option to make a voluntary donation in support of the events and the Long-Life Puja.
